Hey there, my Acer Nitro power cord started making a faint clicking noise when plugged in. It charges fine, but the sound is weird and constant. Is the power cord for my Acer laptop failing, or is this normal? How do I stop it? Thanks!

Hey! A faint clicking noise from the power cord isn't normalβ€”could point to a faulty adapter or internal arcing. Even if it’s charging fine now, it’s best to unplug it and test with another charger if you can. Electrical noises usually mean it's time for a replacementβ€”better safe than sorry! 🔌💻

Hello! A faint, continuous clicking noise from your Acer Nitro power adapter is not typical and may indicate an internal electrical faultβ€”such as a capacitor issue or arcing.
While the charger may still function, continued use could pose a safety risk. We recommend discontinuing use immediately and testing with a compatible, certified adapter. Replacing the charger is the safest course of action to prevent potential damage to your device or power system.

A faint clicking noise from your Acer Nitro power cord isnÒ€™t normal and could point to a loose connection or damaged wire. Since itÒ€™s charging, itÒ€™s not failed yet, but IÒ€™d replace it soon to avoid risks. Check for visible damage and try a different outlet. Get a compatible cord from AcerÒ€™s site or a trusted retailer. Does moving the cord change the noise?
